Veils are thin

New Beginnings kandle left from New Year's Eve has been burnt.....

There it goes... Why not start a "New Year" when the veils are thin?

Rather than take the children Trick or Treating, we had a little ceremony for the ancestors and we ate a Halloween cake.

Ewww... grey cake. hahahah

Lit my jack o lantern kandle... I might even have a go at carving one from a pumpkin next year...

Check out the magick emanating from the "Divine Alchemy" kandles

Blessings to all, thank you ancestors xxx

Getting organised

Only a few days until theveils are thinner, and it's time to organise my outdoor (under the verandah).

I am having a love affair with pumpkins at the moment. I have magickal kandles and handmade pumpkins from artisans.

I found a real petrified frog and popped him here on this mini protection grid.

I've discovered the cats like to jump here, so I have to be careful what I leave around.

Absolutely LOVE this orthoceros mortar and pestle.. and I won this cauldron candle holder and candle from Renae who I am swapping some wreaths for handmade pieces I have made.

Here we are, almost ready.

I can't miss showing you this AMAZING teapot by Bobbi Lambo Oliver.

Right time for beach cleansing.... are you ready for All Hallow's Eve?

Renae's bags

Every now and then I get to make something special.

The client requested some ugly witch fabric, and I found this.

Created two bags for tarot or oracle cards.

One with a pentacle charm.

One with the Ouroborus infinity snake charm.

And I have swapped them for some wreaths that Renae has made for me. Sooo excited!

Three more Spirit Dolls

I do seem to binge create... heheheahhehe... while I have the 5 boxes of embellishments and doodads and wotsits spread out, I tend to make a few things that are similar.

I love the way this one blows in the breeze as she hangs up.

With a genuine Swarovski crystal at her neck.

and the bee and clock at her base. She is a Keeper of time and bees.

This guy wanted to be created with wings, and attached to a piece of driftwood that has been sealed.

And this last fella is also attached to driftwood, with wings...

Sparkles in his hair...and he also reminds me of a character from the Hunger Games.

Break from the sewing machine

Every now and then I go into a different phase, and this time I am making Spirit Dolls again.

I never know how they are going to turn out, as they are created intuitively. I just know they "need" something, or something else is there..... and then the right thing comes along.

With bat wings, a bird skull and wild hair, she kind of reminds me of a character from the Capitol in "Hunger Games".

Or is it a he?

This one has a dreamcatcher, angel wings and glow in the dark wings.

I love her, although she doesn't photograph as well as she could. She is quite angelic.

This fellow is amazing.

He is self supporting and "stands" in a cauldron. He doesn't photograph as well I wish he did either.

All completely hand made, with more on their way also.

almost Halloween

Almost Halloween, and I created another set of witchy drawers... and it's fantastic!

I think I will have to make more of these.

I popped some charms to help open the drawers.

I love the way the skeleton goes over a few drawers.

Decorative cauldrons

I have used the Fusion transfer techniques to decoupage some decorative cauldrons. (Four cauldrons actually).

This first one was snapped up straight away.

This second one has coloured vintage images. I think it is going to stay with me, or given as a gift.

This one has sold too. I love the bird parts and garlic. What a combo!

These motifs are so popular. Traditional witchy things.

I can see dried bunches of smudge herbs, or wands, or crystals or a sphere balanced on the top of the cauldron.

They take up to 1kg of weight, and also have this cute wooden base.

I love the evocative images and the vintage appeal.
