Would you believe it?

I forgot to add this quilt to my list of finished items for 2009. How could I??

Mum quilted it with individual borders around each block, the appliques are outlined, the little quilts are quilted free-hand... I have borders of flowers up the sides, clouds in the sky and a garden bed of flowers in the grass at the bottom.

It's the dollhouse quilt.

Aha! Another finish for 2009!! How many is that? I'll have a count...

Dollhouse quilt top finished

I am so happy to achieve a goal on my list of 5. Here is the dollhouse BOM quilt top!! I can add something else to the list now! I will give this quilt top to Mum for quilting on the long-arm machine. I am sooo lucky. I get to make lots of quilts with my Mumsy quilting away!! VBG.
I am going to finish my Little Tailfeather quilt. I have finished all the stitcheries. I need to do some applique, then piece the blocks. I just searched my blog, and realised I haven't included any photos yet!! Oh dear... you will see them all too soon!
I will show you the fourth Civil War Bride quilt block next time...

I need more room/s

Here we go!! More rooms from the dollhouse quilt.

.
I have been steadily machine blanket-stitching all the pieces on, and I still have some embroidery to add to faces, the washing line, or pictures hanging on the wall.I was lying in a hot bath last night looking around my bathroom... boy do I wish mine looked as fresh and nice as the one in this quilt!! But, you will have to wait to see it later!!

Okay.. here is my list of 5 to work on: (I hope it helps me not to get sidetracked!!)
1. dollhouse BOM
2. hanging sleeve onto QuiltAid quilt
4. Little Tailfeather stitchery quilt (you don't even know about this one!! but I am nearly finished all the stitcheries!)
5. Surfy quilt (just needs the second border)

What I've been up to...

Here are some blocks for the Dollhouse BOM I have been working on. So far, they are just fused on. I will machine blanket-stitch around them all together (it's less changing of threads for colour isn't it??).

I've had a lot of fun selecting fabrics.
This is the "studio" - I especially love the quilt fabric.

Do you remember Magoo and Mrs Perkins? They are featured in the "nursery" block of the dollhouse!!
I still need to embroider some details such as faces.
There are 8 rooms, then the roof, then the front door, lawn and sky around the outside!! I'll show you more later...
