Loving and Using Quilts

Hello Savvy! Aunty Lozzy loves you!
Check you out on your little Raspberry Cream quilt....

Ooh, there's nothing better than seeing quilts you've made being used and loved. xoxo

Raspberry Cream

There were only 2 hours between work shifts last Friday night... and I still managed to quilt this little item that had been sitting around for 2 years as a quilt top! Oh dear! Little meandering around the stitcheries, with stars here and there... There was no time for quilt-marking, so I completely free-formed it. The stripe border contains little flame shapes...the green sawtooth border has swirls, and the white sawtooth border is diagonal squiggles.

I'm loving it to bits. The binding was stitched on today... That's a Finish - now I can start something else!! Yippee!

Now for the cream...

Here are the little raspberries finished in their little quilt top - ready for the countdown to Christmas. All they need is cream on top (i.e. I will machine quilt this little wallhanging).

Still, no rush, that could happen next year! Nahhh. Of course I want to finish it, but I also want to finish off a few other projects.

Last year I finished 28 quilty projects (more if you count each individual journal cover and beaded bracelets and button necklaces).

This year I have 17 finished items on the sidebar so far... now it's a race to see how many I can finish before the end of the year (you know I can't help starting more too)...

Just teething

Well, hasn't this come together quickly?
I've got some more teething to do (it's a sawtooth border - gettit??)... Then it just needs a quick quilting job, and binding. I can't wait to hang it up -I am looking forward to decorating my house for Christmas!!

The last raspberry

This is the last stitchery block from the raspberry cream pattern. This is an Angel... and she still has her halo!

I really enjoyed adding a second colour to the stitcheries to add a different accent on each little picture.
Here are 3 of the stitcheries... Rudy has gone walking.... LOL!!!

More raspberries please

Even though they are not rabbits, they are multiplying just like them!!

It's because I love stitcheries!! And these are so easy to do...

These are more from the raspberry cream pattern...

Awww... too cute for words!!

One more stitchery to go, then I need to put them together into a little wallhanging.

Who is this?

I resigned myself to the fact that I would not get the smoking jacket done by last Tuesday, and started another project that wasn't too hot to sit on my lap while hand-stitching.

Also.. I decided last year that I wanted to finish all my Christmas decos for 2009 by the 1st December 2009 so that I could enjoy them!!

I've still got a couple of other family Christmas presents to make too, but overall, I have finished Christmas shopping for my quilty friends.

Who is this little reindeer?

It's Rudolph... with his knobbly knees....

He is from the new Cinderberry Stitches pattern "Raspberry Cream". The original pattern is stitched in only one colour thread, but I chose a variegated red and pink and offset it with green.

Oooh.
