Jack o lanterns

Did I show you these divine little pumpkins?

I need to pop these away again for a while. Wet season is coming and I need to pack away a lot of crystals, statues and candle holders until I have a permanent safe space.

Veils are thin

New Beginnings kandle left from New Year's Eve has been burnt.....

There it goes... Why not start a "New Year" when the veils are thin?

Rather than take the children Trick or Treating, we had a little ceremony for the ancestors and we ate a Halloween cake.

Ewww... grey cake. hahahah

Lit my jack o lantern kandle... I might even have a go at carving one from a pumpkin next year...

Check out the magick emanating from the "Divine Alchemy" kandles

Blessings to all, thank you ancestors xxx

Getting organised

Only a few days until theveils are thinner, and it's time to organise my outdoor (under the verandah).

I am having a love affair with pumpkins at the moment. I have magickal kandles and handmade pumpkins from artisans.

I found a real petrified frog and popped him here on this mini protection grid.

I've discovered the cats like to jump here, so I have to be careful what I leave around.

Absolutely LOVE this orthoceros mortar and pestle.. and I won this cauldron candle holder and candle from Renae who I am swapping some wreaths for handmade pieces I have made.

Here we are, almost ready.

I can't miss showing you this AMAZING teapot by Bobbi Lambo Oliver.

Right time for beach cleansing.... are you ready for All Hallow's Eve?

Another four ancestor altar cloths

Oops, sideways.

"Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them."

This one has gone to it's forever home.

"My ancestors have brought me to this stage of my life. Thank you"

"We're all immortal as long as our stories are told." has gone to its forever home.

"We are just stars in our family's constellation."

I love this particular saying.... I have bought the children a telescope as a combined Christmas gift, so this is dear to my heart.

Ancestors within me....

I asked for suggestions for these ancestor altar cloth words, and this one was a suggestion.

Ancestors within me, wild and free, Guide and protect me for eternity.

I know that I have gifts passed from my paternal Nanna Vera, who was a gifted seamstress and crocheter. She taught her daughters (my aunties) to sew, and they went on to spin wool, dye it, knit, and weave; winning many awards for their creations.

And I also believe that I have inherited the loving homemaker energies of my maternal Great grandmother Dolly, who was the president of the Victoria CWA. She loved creative cooking, stitching, patching and oil painting to name a few passions.

Sometimes these gifts skip a generation, or we may not know where they came from.... but they are definitely gifts from the ancestors, so I can indeed say, the ancestors are within me.

Plus, check out this fabric! Those hats!

The songs of our ancestors....

The songs of our ancestors are also the songs of our children.

This has a few different meanings for me, more than the tribal songs, or Sunday school songs. or Kumbuyah, or Amazing Grace....

I also mean as a child that the songs I heard my parents playing on the record player remind me of a time when i felt cared for, and secure.... and in turn I enjoy those songs... and now my children experience something similar as I play " By the rivers of Babylon" and "Rose Garden".

The cloth shows traditional offerings of food, skulls, and a statue of Gaia.

This particular print is spectacular, and I look forward to using it on the front of a dress for myself.

This ancestry altar cloth has gone to it's forever home.

I am the result of a thousand loves

This is an ancestor altar cloth. Halloween, All Hallows Eve, Samhain, Day of the Dead... these are all names for the time when traditionally the veils between the worlds are thinner, and if one wants to communicate with spirits that have passed over, particularly ancestor energy, this is the right time to do it.

I have some ideas for ancestor altars. Whereby the skulls represent those that went before us. Crystal skulls hold even more information within their consciousness, just because of their shape.

This particular quartz skull is one that I won in a raffle. It must have chosen me, because it had a $550 price tag on the bottom, and I am not in a place where I would have bought it.

"I am a result of a thousand loves" invokes the idea that all those that came before me, were conceived in love, and so was I. And therefore, with all the generations that came before me, I am a result of big love.

And I think that holds true for all of us, even if we didn't know our genetic parents.

This ancestory altar cloth turned out to be amazing in so many ways. I love the fabric, and my ideas for displaying the altar.
