Altar cloths

All the videos I made lately showed me stitching these altar cloths.

Dandelion. Wish, magick. Luck.

Mother Mary: that glowing heart of unconditional love.

Angel connection. She is so beautiful, I can't explain to you how she glows with the sparkly paint adding dimension and my stitching adding texture.

And this Fairy Princess garden which was snapped up straight away. Oh it's so blipping sparkly!!

The background is silver.

I have a few more to prepare for the Spiritual Co-op Group (facebook group) online market, and for my Etsy store.

So many things cooking

Sneak peek at my sewing machine... this is going to be stunning!!

I did get this fairyland pink sparkly altar cloth completed. Oh! I wish I ordered more of this fabric! It's 2020 and deliveries are on and off, stop and go, it's all in the air.

I discovered the kmart air fryer is AMAZING at cooking chicken sticks for the children (balance them in all directions, and the marinade doesn't stick to the base, but all the flavour stays in the chicken!!).

A witch with her familiar.

And a whole lot of rainbows piped from butter icing onto baking paper, then frozen. Tomorrow onto the cake!!

Moths and cats

This one really shook my world. What is it about moths? They have big fluffy antennae that are sensitive to change and vibration and smell, and this faery is riding a moth, and together they are heading for the moon. So many symbols in one place!! I have a couple of these printed onto fabric. I might have to order more. This one really speaks.

Oh Frida! I remember being young and wondering who this woman was, that one could find on tshirts and whatnot, and now I don't wonder who she is, I wonder why I didn't know before! Ha! Especially since I went to Mexico and viewed her works, learned about her relationship with her husband, and understood why she painted so many self portraits. (She had to paint, like I have to quilt). She was unwell in bed a lot, so she painted herself.  And this time her cat also.

And as for cats, this one is like the yin and yang of cats. Warming up on a cold day with pumpkin spice.

I can't stop, gotta sew some more altar cloths to fund the purchase of a new property.

Faeries, Fairies, The Fae

This week the theme at the market is all about the Fae, and mythical creatures. So I've created these altar cloths.

I'm not sure if this is Wonderland - because there is a castle in the background.

I have no idea what this owl's name is. He feels like he has a particular name. I will tell you that with 3 eyes, he represents inner knowledge, all seeing. The horns are wisdom. The berries are fruit -  (something is bearing fruit/gifts). The succulents are hardy plants, the crystals are connection, vibration, healing properties. Overall it has speaks to us on many levels. I will definitely order more owls if I can.

This SnowWhite textile art piece took me a long time. So many tiny details and about 10 thread changes. I had it beside me and when I changed colour for the piece I was working on, I stuck it under just to do that little bit in that colour.

Changing colours takes a bit of time!

This looks like a fairy swing to me, with mushroom seats nearby. It's so purple, sparkly, and more pretty that you can see in this photo.

That's a wrap on the fae themed pieces for this week.
