New Spooky Shirt

 Another new spooky shirt for the kiddo.

He's been wearing last year's Halloween ones the most, for all this year!

I think I can make a couple more before the next Halloween.

I love to make him unique clothes that nobody else has, that are to his tastes only.

Sneak peek at something Spookylicious

I'm so excited to share this sneak peek at a new project... I will be keeping this one under wraps, as I plan on releasing the pattern.

Yes, it's Halloween inspired, or perhaps spookylicious is the word, because it's not just black, orange, purple and green. I really like to expand and push the colour boundaries.

Okay, you probably won't see more of this for a while now. So enjoy this little teaser!

 

Pumpkin runner

Woohoo, ready to quilt this table runner. Some simple lines should do it...

Going around the applique, and leaving my feet out of the photo. Oops. I didn't edit the photo properly on my phone.

Here we are... stitched and ready to hand sew the binding.

Looking at the quilt on the wall and my table runner.. I am looking at what else I could make with my leftover pretty fabrics.

Maybe a pumpking placemat/trivet? Let's try it out.

 

Witchy women

I've had these Halloween fabrics hanging about for a while now. 

They were calling to be made into something, so we have the baskets and a wallhanging that would be perfect for a backdrop for anyone doing live card readings, crystal sales, or live talks on Tik Tok or YouTube.

Maybe it will be sold, maybe I will keep it to hang up as a Halloween piece. They are very saucy witches mind you.

It's great to have a finished quilt, it's been a long time since I stitched down a binding.

 

Tickled!

I'm absolutely delighted with the way these little baskets turned out. I decided they could be for mini altars, or displays, or a mini space for positive intentions. I know that with children myself, it's hard to find a little area they don't get into.

These are about 10cm square on the base.

A mini sacred space.

I love that these fabrics are on display. 

That is a really soft orange. I love ravens.

I've had fun with the styling.

Learning all the time.

What a cute set!

I can feel some more of these coming on. What a delight they were to make!

 

The Raven quilt goals

We went away for a couple of days with the family: The kids uncles, partners, kids and grandparents. Well, I felt very much like I didn't have a holiday at all. I didn't get to sit out with the other adults late at night (ours were in bed), and I was up at 6am with an extra one to take care of, bouncing on me in my room. The kids had a blast, and I learned about what I want out of a holiday, and where I would go stay.

My enjoyment was stitching after going into our motel room for an early night (couldn't leave the kids on their own!!) .....

 I now have two blocks finished from my blackbird designs quilt "The Raven". It's my goal to finish this by next Halloween.

These blocks are huge at about 15 inches each. Lovely big pieces, except for the berries.

Only 9 blocks in total, time to prep another needleturn block. I have goals!!

 

Veils are thin

New Beginnings kandle left from New Year's Eve has been burnt.....

There it goes... Why not start a "New Year" when the veils are thin?

Rather than take the children Trick or Treating, we had a little ceremony for the ancestors and we ate a Halloween cake.

Ewww... grey cake. hahahah

Lit my jack o lantern kandle... I might even have a go at carving one from a pumpkin next year...

Candy Cane the witchy unicorn

Meet "Candy Cane". I love her carousel horse body made with Kaffe fabric.

She is stirring up a witchy brew for Halloween. That's her wand.

Halloween doesn't have to be scary. I love the way the mystic trees in the border came out.

This little beauty ended up on a lucky lady's bed, and she looks amazing there.
