Carousel uni-cushion

Meet my latest unicushion creation, a carousel unicorn.

The main body fabric and roof of the carousel are Tula Pink fabrics, they add so much fun and dimension.

I hope a special little girl (or big girl) treasures this keepsake and it brings her lots of cuddles.

Still soaring

I meant what I said yesterday... this is about the fourth cushion I have made in this style, maybe even fifth!

There are a few more unicorn cushions (unicushions) to come, but I bought some fabric for a new theme yesterday as this one is starting to get to me.
It's just that I have so many collaborations to finish!
Does your brain wander to the next thing while you are working?

On The Wings Of Love

I've named this cushion "On the wings of love". Pegasus is King of the Unicorns, and flies through rainbow skies.

🦄Soaring through the clouds comes your shimmery and glowy unicorn sailing on the wings of love. ðŸ¦„

🌟Unicorn will help you to Fantasise. Dream big. Embrace your purity and innocence. See the good in all things. Feel the connectedness and wonder of everything. Charge forward. Pierce through obstacles.🌟
I just love the face details, gorgeous eyes and expression.

I love this particular unicorn style so much that I will have another one to show tomorrow!

This cushion is for a collaboration trio, with a candle and bath set, and a little crocheted unicorn.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. x

Rainbow Daze

So many pieces are being finished at the moment.

They've been on the go for a little while, and I am in a crazy finishing mode. I have no idea how many items I have finished this year, as I am still catching up on blogging posts, and need to add a list of finished items for 2018 to the sidebar.

I reckon by March I will have time to count how many pieces have been finished this year so far!

This rainbow unicorn cushion features machine applique again (I am looooving it!), and free motion machine embroidery. This one is also for a collaboration in March, and I hope to show photos of the other two items together with my contribution after the others have been made. Come on girls, pull your finger out!

Sparkle

Well, hello! I've already missed a few days and will have to back-post what I've been making!

But today I started and finished two things. Which is in itself amazing. Usually it takes more than one day to make something, even something small-ish, as I am right in sync with one part of the making e.g. the machine applique, and not really in the mood to finish it into a cushion. Or vice versa.

This results in some days with heaps of finished items to show and others with progress pics.

First I embellished this hand towel with some satin.

It is so luxurious, the hand towel cost more than any of my regular full sized towels!

I thought it would be beautiful for a guest hand towel, or

to make every day magickal in a personal ensuite.

Nobody wants the kids wiping goo on their special hand towel!

Then I made this, very special Uni-cushion.

I named her Sparkle.

The body is made from fairy frost glitter, and this is repeated in the border. The mane, tail, hooves and horn are also made from fairy frosts, then free motion embroidered with feathers adornments in the mane and tail.

I adore these projects at the moment, and they sell better for me than quilts, for which I need to charge more money for time and materials.

Have a sparkly day.

Pegasus

Hello everyone, Today I am sharing a stunning uni-cushion completed for a custom order.

I adore the cloud fabric with rainbows, and only have enough of it for one more cushion.

I bought the fabric at one of my local quilt shops, but it's very pricey there, and they sell that particular fabric for $32 per metre. Needless to say, I don't buy much there, if I can get it elsewhere.

The body is made from fairy frost fabrics, the wings are made from Shimmer.

I put it onto my facebook page Sew Rainey Sew , and immediately had requests for 2 more the same. Who would've thought? I made one very similar last year and it didn't sell for ages. You just can't tell what will go and when... and I think the colours really make it special.

Candy Cane the witchy unicorn

Meet "Candy Cane". I love her carousel horse body made with Kaffe fabric.

She is stirring up a witchy brew for Halloween. That's her wand.

Halloween doesn't have to be scary. I love the way the mystic trees in the border came out.

This little beauty ended up on a lucky lady's bed, and she looks amazing there.

Love Has Wings

Hello everyone,

this uni-cushion is a commission piece from my cousin for her mother's best friend.

The best friend loves unicorns, and is receiving cancer treatments.

My cousin loves her mother, and this cushion was not only made to comfort her mother, but the best friend too.

Cushions can do that. They are a cuddly in bed or on the couch.

I named it "Love Has Wings", perfectly conveying the sentiments from my cousin, and her mother (my aunt).
