Another wee witch

This apron has a stunning denim base which is really roomy, comfy straps, great for larger sizer women also.

She is appliqued onto the apron in a sparkly orange/red fabric, matching my hair. Heheheeh

Witchy creations

Mum rules for creating time to sew: amuse the little boy with creative stuff too.

Ooh, green shimmery witch doing her stuff!

This is one of his "poo poo playdough creations"  It's kind of like Mr potato head, except that most of the play dough was brown (ewww) and you make a poo shape and put the features on.

This gave me time to rustle up a witchy poo apron (hahahahhaha pun intended).

We are all thrilled at the outcome of this poo poo play dough.

Ruby slippers

The journey of Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ has struck a chord with me for quite a long time. 

It is only through a journey of life changing experiences that Dorothy discovers that she had the power all along.

In this case, all she had to do was use the magick in the ruby slippers.

I have used this utterly amazeballs purple swirl with metallic gold print fabric as the background for an altar cloth, then added sparkly socks, and painted the ruby slippers with layers and layers of sparkly fabric paint to make them shine and shine.

And in Emerald green, colour of the Emerald city... why not seize the moment, and have the power with you all along! 

Use your power and energy to clean away (note the broom and dish brush!) hehehehehe.

Not sure whether to keep this one or not. I have a few more ideas for these ruby slippers!

Kids apron

Even though I don't make his clothes, I did make the apron 3 year old boy is wearing, from a tea towel.



And what a starring snap it is, first time on his bike. Time to work out how to push the pedals.

The Sassy Kitchen Witch

The kitchen witch... she is revered in parts of Europe, and oft times travellers abroad will return with puppets or dolls to hang in the kitchen - a Kitchen Witch.


But what is she really?

To me, a Kitchen Witch brings love, healing, nurturing of the family to the process of Cooking.

She stirs in intention and wellness when making healing broths and soups, she uses salt to keep evil away, she brings love to her family with each meal she makes.

So why have a gnarly old witch on your apron when you can have a sassy firey one instead?

I have made a few of these... Just love caring for my family. It's a popular item already. I will be making more of these, indeed.

Wild woman sewing

With everything submitted for the show, it's time to show you the wild woman at my sewing machine! 

Yes! My hair just does that on its own.. Hahahahah. 

Finally I submitted 2 large quilts - 12 days of Christmas birds, and 1950s dresses (nothing like the last minute to finish quilts that have been in progress for 10 years), David Bowie, Mrs Whatsit cushion, Hedwig cushion, Unicorn tree skirt, Mrs Who table centre, Spring wholecloth quilted tablecentre and my embroidered birds tablecloth.

Miss 7 entered in her beaded dreamcatcher necklace and a sock owl made from a kit she got from Santa. In another week we will have the results.

Family time

One thing about having a 2 year old son is that he wants to be like Mummy...  

 So whle I was drawing up this design, he wanted to draw too.
