Easter decor

Hoppy Easter everyone! I love decorating the house!

I've made some Easter diamond paintings with the children.

I love wreaths too! These Bunny wreaths have hit the nail on the head. I am always looking for little crafts like these dot paintings.

My daughter can submit her egg diamond painting into the local show in the paper craft section if we keep it clean and neat.

I think it's really important to keep entering the show or it won't be around any more. It brings me a lot of joy to visit the craft section, and I'd like it to continue for many years!

I am so enjoying decorating the house. The green rabbits are sitting on a whole cloth table centre I made from a Kaffe Fassett Collective fabric a couple of years ago. This is the first time I got to use it!

Hello Easter Bunnies

With a feeling of deja vu, I'm working on these Chocolate Easter Bunnies as a family history once again.  Wasn't I making this last year? YES! I was. Um.... let's see how much I can get done this year.

I want the images to look vintage, like a series of pictures in frames, I am just sort of making it up as I go, which means I have to be in a creative mood.

Do you find you need to be in a different mood to work on something you're making up, compared with something that you can do on auto pilot?

Hello kitchenaid! I made Easter cupcakes for the little fellah to share with his class mates. Vanilla cupcakes with little chocolate bird nests on the top.

Did someone in your class ever bring treats for everyone? We had that once in all 7 years of primary school.

More Easter

I've been painting lots of glitter again.. this time it's an Easter egg oven mitt/heat pad and basket liner.

I made pumpkin scones for my photo snaps.

Easter is on its way

I pre ordered this fabric online and I was waiting and waiting for it to arrive in time so that I could stitch in time for Easter!

First I added a whole load of painted glitter paint onto the places that weren't really glittery.

I made a matching oven mitt/heat pad and a basket liner.

Easter goodies

I showed you these digital prints earlier, and now they are heavily painted with glittery and sparkly paints so that they shimmer and shine.

With Fairy Frost fabric trims for handle and top.
I made these to be used as easter egg hunt baskets, or table toppers with artificial flowers or non-fattening gift bags.
I made two of each. Pretty cute!!!

It was quite a stressful day with huge rains that channeled into our yard... 15cm of water in the "outdoor patio kitchen and sewing" space. Thank heavens the fridges, freezer, oven and washing machine all work.

Can you see where the footings for the new house will go? The floor will be 3 metres in the air. That river can flow next year when we are up high.

With a go bag packed, nappies and wipes and clothes... we were ready to evacuate even if only walking to the neighbours on higher ground.

Next morning, the rain had abated. Ahhh, the tropics.
