I love vintage and repro

And so does Violette over at the blog Hand Quilting. She has interviewed various fabric designers such as Barbara Brackman, April Cornell, and Darlene Zimmerman. Sharon and Jason Yenter are still to come, and so is Gudrun Erla.

I feel like I am in love with Violette's blog - it takes my breath away!! LOL!!

Here are some photos of the stitchery patterns I am working on (The 1950s Collection). I have finished about 2/3 of the stitching on each one (none are completely finished - I was missing some thread colours).

Maybe I will have a finished block to show and tell this week!

Love your Retro Patterns they remind me of my Childhood..had a little chuckle with block 4's Buttons..DH & I had a set of those Birds on the wall in the house we were renting when we first got married..every time we see them we have a laugh..we thought they were so Bad at the time...
Enjoy your stitching and looking forward to seeing this one come together...

I too love vintage and reproduction fabrics, both very old and more recent like 30s, 40s fabrics.

I've got flying ducks! My aunt gave them to me, cause she hated them! Though they are packed away as I don't have wall space here in my unit. Also have collect funky trio's (small plate and matching cup and saucer) and bakelite ( have retro canisters and spice jars).

Love The Sewing Club stitcheries, am very, very tempted except am determined to finish stuff, and only start things that are free (can be made out of existing stash)! Frou

Flying ducks: they bring back memories! I remember we stayed at the beach with family friends. I said I loved the flying ducks on the wall, and I was given one as a gift to take home with me!! Mum told me privately on the way home how she thought they were so ugly, but she thought they would be worth quite a bit of money - even for one.
I don't know where my flying duck is now. Like a lot of my treasures they were lost or broken when I was away at Uni and some "Friends" helped Mum move out of our old family home.
Thanks for being nostalgic with me!!

Love the 50's retro stitcheries - love just about anything retro! Amazingly I was just in at our local Green Printery to get some cutting charts laminated and they had the French Button stitchery patterns stacked up on the counter(I recognized them from your blog.) The designer lives in my town! All your stitcheries look great by the way Lorraine...

Thanks for the lovely words about my blog. I just posted Gudrun's interview this morning and changed some of the sidebars yesterday. I love the retro designs. Are they for sale now or are they really retro? I think they would make a fabulous redwork quilt. How big are the designs?
