Flow

And then the sewing juices flow out after all that recharging.... and this is the result...

Some people can't see beyond ordinary.

I myself am strange and unusual.

The hidden stitching on the reverse, as I then bagged out the altar cloth.

And it went immediately out to its new home.

The wolf and moon

Healing happens in my spirit.

I am exactly where I need to be.

Peace. Love. Freedom.

I am a blessing manifest.

I say yes to authentic, yes to the truth.
  And the reverse once again.

And then I made this one, and I know that I also need one:

I'm a queen.
I'm a goddess.
I'm a genius.
I'm a love and light.

"They called her a witch because she could heal herself."

Inspiration from nature

Inspiration comes in many forms. These red dragonfruits are delicious and juicy. The texture of the seeds is just great within the firm fruit.

The children all end up red and dribbly, but it's a delight to see them.

Hmm... what inspiration is coming from these?

Atherton Crystal Caves

I have to say I was pretty excited about our trip to the Crystal Caves in Atherton.

There is a cave like experience in a shop. It's semi dark, the crystals are lit up, so you wear a light helmet.

This MASSIVE amethyst geode stood over water filled with huge chunks of rose quartz.

We all had a refill by its side.

Some of the exhibits are for touching and some are not.

A sphere is very interesting, because it radiates its energy out in a sphere itself, so it can go further.

These orthoceros fossils are huge!

Back into the amethyst and rose quartz pool room.

Filling the self, so that more can flow.

Everyone was drawn to the crystals and touching them.

Or feeling the energy of the space.

After a while, we all had headaches. So many crystals in one space, and out we went. Thinking of our visit with pleasure and happiness.

Balance

It's really important to balance the creative input and output... I am finding more balance as I grow (b)older. hehehehe

A soujourn to the Atherton ranges. I had never been. It was much cooler than Townsville, and we found this tea plantation selling tea from an honesty box.

Oh my, I bought 4 bags, and if I had known how good it was, I would've bought a kilo.

Another chance for a recharge with this waterfall at the side of the road.

Soaking it up.

And I found this glorious flowering gum tree. Look at the size of the gumnuts. I heard that people pay $1 each for those to use in their crafts. Ok then! I must plant more of these trees!

Look at the size of the leaves, and what a strange thing to see me wearing a cardigan!

Not quite stitching creating....

Even though it's not creative stitching, I really feel that creating hot buns from scratch with 3 children is definitely crafting! Does anyone make them themselves much these days?

To be honest, I think we over kneaded the dough a bit.

But I think everyone should have a turn of learning to knead.

 Looks great guys!

And so we left it to rise. On the bench is fine in sunny far north Queensland.

Then divided up the dough into buns sizes.

And finally, piped the crosses on.
Glazed with a little bit of marmalade, they look fantastic, even if they are not as light and fluffy as I anticipated!

I foresee a rerun

Now this one turned out to be superb... the print was on a synthetic sateen, and after I had quilted the details I just ADORED it.

It was so swiftly picked up by its new owner that I think I really must make it again.

This quilting was hidden with a bagged backing.

Recharge

After all that intuitive stitching, it was time for a recharge.

My dear friend Kate and I worked on each other.

We have lotus orgonite on the chakra points and under the healing bed at the same time.
Along with reiki and  the rainbow cloth. Such a beautiful recharge. It should definitely refuel my creative juices.

Full moon altar cloth

Moving along from the Spirit Dolls for a while, I was in the mood to quilt.

This piece of fabric was about 45cm square.

Then I did some extensive free motion quilting to bring it to life, added a bagged backing and voila!

She is so loved by her owner. I am sure she feels my energy when she is in use.

Spirit babies

Now this first one, really evoked the energy of the mother and her child. Protective with dreamcatcher.

Perhaps the nurturer and carer for the person who owns the spirit doll.

And spirit babies, these are tiny. And I feel they depict the presence of stillborn or miscarried or unborn babies.

The angel wings are just so for they represent the idea of babies in heaven.

Once again, these are in their forever homes.

Number 2

This spirit doll also evolved under my fingertips. She carries a potion bottle and a chalice.

The wise owl is at her throat - she speaks wise words.
Quartz crystal in one hand. Feng shui symbol for wealth in the other hand, with feathers.

Dreamcatcher on the stomach, and a starry cloak....

And I love her face xx

She also found her forever home.

Intuitive stitching

I have made a whack of faces in polymer clay in different size, shapes and colours.

I delved into a box of fabrics, and wadding and started to get out whatever wanted to come.

And this Spirit Doll is what evolved under my fingers.

I call it intuitive stitching, because I don't have a plan at the beginning, I just see what wants to be added next.

Spirit dolls can be used at an altar, or hang on the wall. They can remind you of a person who has passed on, or you can be attracted to them for no reason at all.

This one reminds me of a cross between Romanian and Nepalese heritage.

She has found her forever home.
