Last finish before Christmas

This is indeed the last finish before Christmas, but I'm a bit late to send it to Mum.

I think it's going to be a Mother's Day gift now!

It's country colours, perfect for her decor.

The first real gingerbread house

The kiddo really enjoyed making his first ever gingerbread house.

I must buy a kit for him next year....

I need to make a gingerbread house quilt myself!

So busy

My own little artist has been going to free Christmas crafts at the local shopping centre every day since school finished. He's even started his own Christmas tree.

We've been so busy with Christmas activities and adventures all over!

I hope you're enjoying the leadup to Christmas too!

North Pole quilt is up!

The Christmas quilt is up! I've only had this quilt back from my sister for a few years.

Would you believe it took me years and years to make, and not long after that I moved into a caravan? Lol.

Life changes all the time. But here is the Christmas quilt at its annual exhibition.

I am proud and grateful to have it up.

Curiousity...

Oh Tula Pink! I am so happy I scored some of your Alice in Wonderland fabric at a deal - and here is a curious cat zoot suit for the kiddo, ready for his drum concert.

His first performance, he is playing Stevie Wonder's "Superstition", and I want him to feel bold and confident when he walks on the stage.

I feel like that's the power of new clothes.

He chose different coloured snap closures, because he likes to be able to button them up fast, and that requires matching colours on each side of the shirt!

He also has yellow shoes - crocs are his thing!

And we have a yellow car, so it's all happening this year!

Santa in hexies

Woohoo, I scored some fabric pieces from the opp shop for a bargain, and it's just the thing I needed to go with this Santa.

Santa embroidery from a Red Brolly (Bronwyn Hayes) pattern - it's actually from a pattern for Christmas buckets made from fabric, but I didn't want to use it that way.

The Santas are so lovely, I wanted to put them on show.

I think this will be a little quilt for my Mum. (Shhh).

Change of seasonal decor

\

It's that time... Halloween has come down soon enough, and we have started to decorate with Christmas decor.

I think next year I need to put the Halloween decor up before the start of October. It truly deserves to have it's own time hanging up too!

Cheers to a delicious coffee....
