Feeling spoiled

I visited my friend Tracey, and she had a gift for me! She knows I love Frida Kahlo, so when she saw this handpainted necklace, she surprised me with it as a gift.

I am quite teary, wearing sunglasses here.

And here is another Wolf Spirit Animal altar cloth complete. That's all of that fabric gone now.

I feel so blessed to be supporting my family in a way that I love to create.

My New Design! and Mother's Day

Introducing my new design to hold crystals onto the wearer without the need for expensive jewellery.

Crystals go into the pocket.

velcro holds it together while an envelope holds the crystals  securely in place.

I tested this rigorously on my kindergarden boy!! He never lost one, and he's a hard player!

Also works on bra straps.

I've made a few different colours and designs for my online market this weekend at The Spiritual Co-Op Group (facebook).

Hey, it's also Mother's Day, and I am celebrating the joy of receiving from my little boy.

A hand decorated box, handstrung bead bracelet and a booklet of vouchers for massages and hugs.

We went to the Strand beachfront to celebrate Mother's Day as a family.

Vigil for the world

The energy has been intense. The inflammation in my body has been extreme.

I've had this magickal kandle of Danu for over a year, and it feels time to burn her.

When I first bought her, I made a mistake. I thought she was like a statue. No, she is a candle, and her purpose it to burn and release her magic.

This is one way I am using one of my own altar cloths - i've put it up behind the candle for photographic purposes.

What can you see? I am burning this candle for me, for Australia, for the earth and her people right now.

I sit in vigil with the world. This is 2020.

Full Moon Blessings

Full Moon abundance blessings be upon you

Don't be put off by this one... It's a banishing cloth. To turn away from all that needs to be let go.

I'm finding that the collective energy is so intense, it's really necessary to be consciously keeping as high vibration as possible.

And so we release what is no longer needed, with love.

Bear constellation and spirit animal. Ohh, I love creating these altar cloths.

Tea time

Ross River Virus has hit me hard, my feet are so swollen. I am trying out this tea to see if it benefits. I bought it at The Spiritual Co-op Group (facebook), this is where I've been selling a lot of textile art and altar cloths.

I'm hoping it helps me to become more active. I can't do much but sit and sew.

This means I'm creating lots of pieces like this Tree of Life altar cloth.

And this one with affirmations: THERE'S MORE TO BE AWARE OF, NOTHING TO BE SCARED OF, i AM SO POWERFUL, I AM THE ONE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.

I've given her a sparkly gold moon background quilted in little circles.

This one particularly brings me a lot of joy to create.

Something for me

I kind of missed baking bikkies in time for ANZAC day. It was so weird, the usual ceremonies weren't going on, people were staying home, not mingling, and I ran out of golden syrup, because it just wasn't on my mind!

Did you know one of the reasons why ANZAC bikkies were so popular is because they didn't need eggs or sugar or milk, and they lasted well on the journey with the Red Cross deliveries to Gallipolli in WW1.

It's a special Australian past time to make them, so even though it's late, it was important to do them. These traditions won't be passed on if we stop.

I snaffled some of this gorrgeous sparkly plastic at a local quilt shop - Just Country Crafts, although it is not just country anymore!!!!

One side of the plastic By Annie's is kind of pink, one side is kind of gold. I dug out a panel I have of teacher ladies from Lorelei (I think I got that from Sunlit Blooms a year or so ago), and although i drooled over the beautiful rainbow zippers in the store, I am giving it a go with some dress zips I bought in bulk from ebay.

Ok, so the dress zips were a bit too flimsy, so I rummaged in my supplies and found these pretty lace zippers. Too cute to hide, I made a few of these for me, and I will give some to Mum for Mother's Day.

I set out to create something for me, and I did it! It's a great feeling to be completing projects as I start them.

How many do you have on the go at once?

Rainbow Wolf

Oh my goddess! This wolf turned out to give me goosebumps! I have fabric for one more, and I think it will also sell on the same day that I release this altar cloth.

Do you have any requests for altar cloths/textile art?

You can find me at The Spiritual Co-Op Group (Facebook) online market.
