They Called Her A Witch

On this witchy altar cloth/ textile art I have free motion stitched the words THEY CALLED HER A WITCH BECAUSE SHE COULD HEAL HERSELF.

She is wearing the words like a banner, and claiming that YES! I can heal myself, and YES! I am wearing these words, so they are no longer weapons against me.

This one just glows, I've made the moon sparkling gold, and the sky glittery blue.

This water goddess one is a strange piece of art. The image reminds me of an Escher artwork, where one thing turns into another and back again.

Two new pieces for the online market next week.

Small spiritual items

A few more items for the Spiritual Co-Op group market

Winter solstice altar cloth

Rainbow Connection altar cloth (That song always brings tears to my eyes).

Wild Faerie altar cloth

Tree Spirit altar cloth

I really love the face i stitched into the tree trunk. I made maybe 6 of these, and the face on each was different. You can't get more unique than that.

This precious raven fabric is beautiful to me. I can't get it again. That happens with fabric!! Each bag I've  made with it is different because the fabric is in a different position, and I've appliqued a different rose onto each one.

I made 4 of these, then 2 more. The fabric is gone! I might have more photos to show you somewhere. Let me look.

The Spiritual Co-op Market

I've been creating a LOT of spiritual textile are in the form of altar cloths. I am so grateful to be invited to list my textile pieces each weekend at The Spiritual Co-Op Group on facebook.

I am creating a few pieces each week to add variety to my listings.

Sometimes I make a similar piece again, and sometimes I make 5 of them! It depends whether I can get the art fabric print again.

I've also created a number of these Follow The Yellow Brick Road bags. These are tarot bags/crystal bags/spell bags/ wand bags. Whatever the user wants to use them for.

Some are more esoteric, and some are more of a metaphor.

Everyone has different tastes, so I've made a few different styles of these too, with sparkly fabric, applique and charm details.

Some with sacred geometry, other esoteric designs and all with satin drawstrings.

I have some more in the pipeline, and will see what I can finish for the next online market.

free block 3 love and hugs from Australia stitch a long

It's day 3, and would you believe some people are completing one block a day? I find that I do not have as much free time as usual, as there are 3 children at home... which makes triple the cooking and triple the dishes, and double the usual clothes washing...

and now my feet are double the size, I am FORCED to sit down... so I will be able to show and tell myself soon!!!

Block 3 is by Gail Pan - called Bee Brave.

You can find the link here: http://gailpandesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/bee-brave.pdf

I have been working on all the stems for my Raven applique quilt. Earlier this year I wanted to get it made in time for the Townsville Show (this will not happen this year), and now I just want to get it finished, as a piece I can say "I made that during the quarantine".

I guess that's a question we will be asked forevermore... what did you do in 2020?

Looking for a free project to show what you've been up to during the quarantine?

Well hello everyone from Australia. We are in the middle of a global shutdown with more people at home than ever before.

And just what you needed! Aussie stitchers have brought you the Love & Hugs from Australia Stitch-A-Long!! It's a page on facebook. You can find the group here:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/557658171771760/

This is the first free block by Natalie Bird. You can download it here: https://www.thebirdhouse.com.au/pages/stitchery-block

We are all going to be using from our stash, unless you order online or by phone order... I am keen to keep my local shops going so they are open again once we are able to shop and socialise... but I do that pretty regularly anyway!

There is a new block everyday. Be sure to share this round and thank the designers.

Dream A Little Dream

I call this altar cloth TIL DEATH TO US PART. I see a woman in her wedding car, wearing a ring that joins her in a soul bond. Tell me what you see?

This Fox one is so amazing in person, it's so sparkly with so meanings on so many levels. Someone who connects with dreams and spirit animal of Fox will love this one.

This angel turned out to be spectacular. I wish I could get more of this fabric. I don't really know how they are going to turn out until I make them, and the fabrics are sometimes blink and you miss it.

May Angels be with you tonight.

See you at The Spiritual Co-Op online market (facebook).
