It's a big relief that the deposit for the new bush block has been paid today. Vendor finance suits us both, and we are very grateful.
We went for a drive to connect with our land more deeply, and what should we see but a swag of pelicans in the tidal floodzone. The road is raised above it, and maybe gets covered a couple of times a year in the wet season. We will make sure we have a 4WD with a snorkel and extra supplies in the house. I love a well stocked freezer and pantry in any case.
It's currently dry season, but I can see this water hole fills up. Kangaroos have been coming here to drink.
I love this tree.
We all love this place.
Now it's time to start moving sheds, building materials, project cars and big pieces that won't fit at a rental house onto the block (it's 29 acres so we have plenty of space to fit what we want).
The rental house will come. It will come.
