Easter decor

Hoppy Easter everyone! I love decorating the house!

I've made some Easter diamond paintings with the children.

I love wreaths too! These Bunny wreaths have hit the nail on the head. I am always looking for little crafts like these dot paintings.

My daughter can submit her egg diamond painting into the local show in the paper craft section if we keep it clean and neat.

I think it's really important to keep entering the show or it won't be around any more. It brings me a lot of joy to visit the craft section, and I'd like it to continue for many years!

I am so enjoying decorating the house. The green rabbits are sitting on a whole cloth table centre I made from a Kaffe Fassett Collective fabric a couple of years ago. This is the first time I got to use it!

Gypsy Soul

Oh my giddy goodness me! I have already made 5 of these gypsy caravan cats.... and so grateful that more fabric arrived.

I desperately want to keep one of these for myself.

So many elements in here that I vibe with. Tea leaf reading, pendulum, crystal ball gazing, packets of seeds, cornucopia, sun and moon, changing of seasons, tarot cards... *happy sigh*

If I have any left they are in my Esty store: Sew Intuitive by Rainey

Freedoms

I love bowling. It's one of my sports of choice. My son turned 10, and we took the family to their first night time bowling experience. Oh! Saturday night with disco lights, and music playing, it felt magick!

Do you know it's self serve shoes now? Makes sense!

This is my favourite style.  I like the patchwork of the shoes.
I am so excited to be able to bowl, and lift a bowling ball. I wasn't able to walk 9 months ago, and now I can bowl. It's incredible the way these natural anti inflammatories have changed my life.

I feel certain that I'd like to choose bowling as a weekly sport, as soon as I'm able. I feel free! I just need to practise up a bit.

Hello Easter Bunnies

With a feeling of deja vu, I'm working on these Chocolate Easter Bunnies as a family history once again.  Wasn't I making this last year? YES! I was. Um.... let's see how much I can get done this year.

I want the images to look vintage, like a series of pictures in frames, I am just sort of making it up as I go, which means I have to be in a creative mood.

Do you find you need to be in a different mood to work on something you're making up, compared with something that you can do on auto pilot?

Hello kitchenaid! I made Easter cupcakes for the little fellah to share with his class mates. Vanilla cupcakes with little chocolate bird nests on the top.

Did someone in your class ever bring treats for everyone? We had that once in all 7 years of primary school.

Dragon fruit

I love using colours and textures from nature in my textile art.

What bliss is this, white with a tiny black spot.

And a vivid edge, like the binding of a quilt.

What do you think about having a stimulus or challenge photo to create a small quilt with?

I can see swirling black and white 9 patches with a vivid binding. What do you see?

Altar cloths and a quilty dress

This is how I set out a sacred space: cleanse, set out intentions, read cards.... This is my most popular altar cloth in my Etsy store.

I love this lion, moth and the fae altar cloth. Do you know someone who would love it?

This one is also for creating a crystal grid. With an intention of growth and transformation.

I wish you could see this angel in person, she is stunning. Twinkly, sparkly, gold, silver and blue...

You can find all my available altar cloths in my Etsy store: Sew Intuitive by Rainey.

Today I am wearing a dress made from a Tula Pink linework fabric. I am collecting these prints, but I couldn't resist wearing a dress made out of this one.
