A little bit more

So I decided to chain stitch around the entire dragon. Yes. Chain stitch.

While it is taking a while, I think it really looks good. This is going to be a bigger project than I originally thought.

Essence of dragon anyone?

Loving this huge applique... this is going to be a great quilt.

A huge single block applique quilt.

I am estatic with the design... and the fairy frost background fabric. Check out the metallic feathers/scales. And I have used a crystalline fairy frost for the wings.

While I love it, I think it needs to stand out just a little bit more... I think some more embellishment is required.

sneak peek

Here we have a little sneak peek of an upcoming quilt out of Toy Story fabric.
I am making it for my nephew Luca. He has autism, and Toy Story has been the best thing to calm him down since he was a toddler. In keeping with this theme, I am making him the jigsaw design, which is one of the symbols of autism.
 And more... zipper bags!!
 I love these fabrics too.

Zippy bags

One of my fav things to make is these quilted bags.
Whenever I get into a sewing rut, I start making these bags...
 once I start, everything flows....
 lots of ideas...
So why not make a stash of them...
I especially love this Evil Disney fabric. It says "Evil is the new black" and "so many curses so little time", "stealer of souls", "the mirror never lies"...

and these ones with the runners came from samples Mum gave me.

Special bags

So happy to have finished another two gorgeous bags for essential oils and crystals.
Purple, purple, purple is the colour of choice...
My own unique design... I can feel a few more of these coming on.

Getting in early

Getting in early for Christmas... I started to make 4 stockings...
I wonder whose name will end up on these special items?
Love that vintage reindeer motif.

Candy Cane the witchy unicorn

Meet "Candy Cane". I love her carousel horse body made with Kaffe fabric.

She is stirring up a witchy brew for Halloween. That's her wand.

Halloween doesn't have to be scary. I love the way the mystic trees in the border came out.

This little beauty ended up on a lucky lady's bed, and she looks amazing there.

Love Has Wings

Hello everyone,

this uni-cushion is a commission piece from my cousin for her mother's best friend.

The best friend loves unicorns, and is receiving cancer treatments.

My cousin loves her mother, and this cushion was not only made to comfort her mother, but the best friend too.

Cushions can do that. They are a cuddly in bed or on the couch.

I named it "Love Has Wings", perfectly conveying the sentiments from my cousin, and her mother (my aunt).

Blaze

Hello everyone. I have had an absolute blast making this mini art quilt in a frenzy. Inspiration was so strong, that it just had to come out.

I had no idea who it was for...

Not sure whether the unicorn is afraid or just startled or mesmerised by the sacred geometry merkaba.

First I quilted the piece, then I applique/quilted the unicorn down, and added free motion quilting details.

Once finished, I love it to pieces, although I have no space or use for it myself, and it was made with such urgency that I feel sure it is going to a loved home.

N.B. Yes, it did go to a special home. I love it when that happens

Blaze

I was inspired to make this in an absolute frenzy.

First I had quilted the background, then I added the applique. Blaze was looking at something, and it turned out to be a Merkaba.

So much detail in all of the applique and quilting, and I adore the way it turned out...

Shimmery fairy frost body too.

I am really happy  it went to a happy home.
