I free-motion quilted around the curvy borders - now they fabric puffs up into "clouds". I just love how it has turned out so far - and it's not even finished!!

I had named this quilt Log Apartments - it's a modern version of log cabins. What do you think?

Okay, okay... a bit more hand-sewing and this one is done.

Technically that is not true in this case... This fabric has a definite purpose. My aunt turns 60 this year. I have already given her a very large bed quilt (king size quilt for her queen size bed, it hangs down beautifully over the edges).
So, instead of a quilt for her birthday, I will add the green border around the Kyomi panel, quilt it, and put a little quilt-hanger on the top. I know she is going to love it!

Catherine works in childcare, so I selected scenes from the vintage-looking panel "Let's Play". They are bordered, and that's all so far.
I will add sashing with vintage alphabet fabric (black on cream). That's all.
I will ask Mum to quilt it with balloons or clouds allover, then add binding. Sometimes a quick quilt is best - because they can be finished in time!!
Then, it's back to scalloping... and miniatures (I have chosen the next 9 miniatures for next year)...

Not much news to tell today really... (still going with My Stars) just posting a photo of the finished QuiltAid quilt for 2010.
It is hanging on the wall - the best way to obtain a photo. It's so soft and pretty. I wonder what fabrics will be chosen next year?
